Ursula Mur (Lima, Peru, 1990) is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, ceramics, printmaking, and installation. Currently, her work focuses on social, racial, and political issues in Latin America, emphasizing the importance of amplifying the voices of communities often overlooked by globalized capitalist systems. Through her practice, she challenges comfort zones and conventions, sparking dialogue around inequality, identity, and cultural preservation.

Mur began her artistic training at Corriente Alterna in Lima (2008–2010), then moved to New York to study abstract painting and printmaking at The Art Students League, where she trained under Charles Hinman and Larry Poons. An internship with Pema Rinzin further shaped her technical and expressive approach.

In 2016, she returned to Lima and co-founded Espacio 22, a gallery supporting emerging artists and building artistic community until its closure in 2020. During this time, she also studied ceramics at Taller Dos Ríos, expanding her multidisciplinary language.

She has since participated in international residencies, including AGALAB (Amsterdam, 2021) and Ceramic Kingdom (Berlin, 2022). After earning a certificate from the New York Academy of Art, she returned to Berlin to continue her ceramics and installation practice, and exhibited her work at Debowput in Amsterdam.

In April 2025, she held her first solo show in Mexico City at Koik Contemporary Gallery, and is scheduled to exhibit this July at Duplex AIR in Lisbon. She was recently awarded a grant by Maison de Beaumont in France, where she will join a residency in November 2025.
